Situated at the foot of Mont-Blanc, the spa resort of Saint-Gervais has attracted tourists since 1806 and today is popular with discerning skiers. Set in a river gorge halfway between Megeve and Chamonix, the town has a long history of entertaining France's most discerning winter and summer tourists.

Saint Gervais offers diverse apres-ski and an excellent selection of interesting food shops, cosy bars, nightclubs and restaurants. Every Thursday morning in Saint Gervais there is a superb genuine market. Also among the attractions are thermal baths with spa treatments, a cinema, casino, and many outdoor activities available such as an Olympic skating rink or unforgettable snowshoe walks. A trip up the mountain on the Mont-Blanc Tramway is not to be missed. St Gervais has numerous links to the vast local mountain ranges whether by road, rail, tram or ski lifts.
