1. If you are buying a holiday home Nice city centre offers a great lifestyle for those who want to be able to get everywhere on foot and to be served by an excellent public transport system. The Carré d'Or, the Musiciens and Fleurs along with all the central location are perfect spots for city lovers who don't want to use a car to get about (and there is very little parking available with apartments in the centre). The buildings in the city centre do have balconies but it's rare to find a large terrace and even harder to find places with just a small balcony in the Old Town. If you wish to have views, parking, a pool and a terrace or use of a garden then you need to look a little out of the city centre towards Nice West or Mont Boron. Cimiez is another good area for residences offering terraces and pools and it's quite central and very elegant. If you are looking for a villa in Nice You're extremely unlikely to find a villa in a central location, but Cimiez is probably the closest you will get.
