Monaco Events That You Shouldn’t Miss This May

 

Tucked away between the prettiest beaches on the French Riviera and an incredibly scenic mountainous countryside, the small city-state of Monaco is a dream destination for people from all over the world. If you have been looking for Monaco property for sale in order to call this paradise your home or to have your own holiday home here, it’s important to be aware that a lot happens here every month. Here are just some of the Monaco events you shouldn’t miss this May.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix

The highest-profile event of the month is, without a doubt, the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, which this year takes place from 25th May to 28th May. The Monaco GP and means not only the roaring engines and thrills of the racing, but also the chance to rub shoulders with countless celebs.

The Monaco Grand Prix has been taking place yearly since 1929. Besides being able to see some of the best drivers in the world compete for the prize, the event is also a great occasion to enjoy the fabulous atmosphere around the Principality during race weekend. After the races, head over to one of Monaco’s high-end bars, such as the famous La Rascasse, to keep the fun going.

Monaco Exhibitions

An exhibition on the subject of Michel Vaillant in Monaco opens in Monaco on 4th May this year and lasts for five days. You can see it at Espace Indigo in the Grimaldi Forum.

Meanwhile, the Monaco international Dog Show is perfect for all dog lovers. It takes place between on 6th and 7th May at Espace Fontvieille.

Elsewhere, the Nouveau Musée National – Villa Paloma hosts the Hercule Florence. The New Robinson for the month of May.

Monaco Concerts

Classic music lovers will rejoice on 7the May, when the Great Season Series,  a symphonic concert by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra takes place. The concert is conducted by Alexander Vedernikov and features Lena Belkina as mezzo-soprano.

If rock music is more your style, don’t miss the Picnic Music: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band - London Calling, Live in Hyde Park 2009 event during which The Boss’s legendary concert will be shown at the Médiathèque de Monaco on the big screen.

Jane Birkin comes to Monaco on 11th May for a concert in collaboration with the Monte Carlo Philharmonic orchestra at the Opéra Garnier in Monte-Carlo. Ben l’Oncle Soul performs on the same stage on 19th May, also accompanied by the Monte Carlo Philharmonic orchestra.
