Every year, BNP hosts a market analysis and breakdown of a study conducted by IPSOS/BNP (April 2017). They asked 1111 UK residents with real estate projects in the Euro Zone about their feelings following Brexit as well as key market data highlighting the following points:-

 

  • British buyers still on top

    • British still in first place with 32% of transactions, far ahead of the Belgians (15.5%)

    • In Paris however the Italians rank first for investments followed by the Americans with a very high average amount of 963,000€

 

  • The market has dropped back slightly

    • - 3.6% transactions compared to 2015

    • Drop was highest amongst British non-residents

    • Average value of transactions by foreign non-residents remain stable

 

  • France is still an attractive destination

    • The climate, way of life, low interest rate levels and  real estate prices still attractive and offer good prospects

    • 66% want to use financing for their project

    • 30% want to accelerate their purchase project

    • 61% have not abandoned or altered their plans
